Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheons
3rd Thursday of the month from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Lunch is $5.00 a person. Speakers discuss business matters. Featured businesses
and Non-profit groups are featured. These businesses set up tables with there
services and or wares for everyone to see. Member and non-members are welcome.
Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet
March 7, 2008. 50th Annual Chamber Banquet. Grand Saline Salutes Our
Armed Forces (1940's Style). Activities include a silent and live auction,
dinner, business and community awards, and introduction of new officers.
Bloomin' Festival
March 29, 2008.
The 4th Annual Bloomin' Festival pays honor to the extensive "Green Industry"
that prospers in East Texas. Fun takes place form 8am-6pm at the Depot Plaza
just east of Main St. in Downtown Grand Saline. Vendors include plants, trees,
yard & garden related items and equipment from the practical to decorative.
Informative presentations by experts. Food and Music round out the day. Contact

Community Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday before Easter.
Open to all Kids. City Park. Easter bunny attends the
morning event. Sponsored by the Athena Club.
Athena Salt Pageant
May 9th & 10th. Two nights of Entertainment and Pageantry. The second night is
the crowning of the Queen and her court.
Annual Salt Festival
1st weekend in June
since 1975. Parade, games, food. Live music & entertainment,
street dance, arts & crafts center around downtown. Sponsored by Salt Festival
Heritage Association.
