Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheons
3rd Thursday of the month from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Lunch is $5.00 a person. Speakers discuss business matters. Featured businesses and Non-profit groups are featured. These businesses set up tables with there services and or wares for everyone to see. Member and non-members are welcome.
 

Chamber of Commerce Membership Banquet
March 7, 2008. 50th Annual Chamber Banquet. Grand Saline Salutes Our Armed Forces (1940's Style). Activities include a silent and live auction, dinner, business and community awards, and introduction of new officers.

Bloomin'  Festival
March 29, 2008.  The 4th Annual Bloomin' Festival pays honor to the extensive "Green Industry" that prospers in East Texas. Fun takes place form 8am-6pm at the Depot Plaza just east of Main St. in Downtown Grand Saline. Vendors include plants, trees, yard & garden related items and equipment from the practical to decorative. Informative presentations by experts. Food and Music round out the day. Community Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday before Easter. Open to all Kids. City Park. Easter bunny attends the morning event. Sponsored by the Athena Club.
 

Athena Salt Pageant
May 9th & 10th. Two nights of Entertainment and Pageantry. The second night is the crowning of the Queen and her court.

Annual Salt Festival
1st weekend in June since 1975.  Parade, games, food. Live music & entertainment, street dance, arts & crafts center around downtown. Sponsored by Salt Festival Heritage Association.

Annual UPRA Rodeo
Professional rodeo held in conjunction with the Salt Festival in June. Three day events (Thurs-Sat) held at the Grand Saline Rodeo grounds west of town. Sponsored by Grand Saline Rodeo Association.

National Night Out

Poor Boy Rodeo
Second weekend in August (Fri-Sat). Amateur rodeo with open booking. "Mutton Busting" and Calf Scramble for the kids. Held at Grand Saline Rodeo grounds and sponsored by Grand Saline Rodeo Association.

Homecoming Parade and Tailgate Party
October. Held in conjunction with High School football homecoming activities. Parade & pep-rally downtown Friday afternoon at 3pm before the game. Hamburger cook out with all the trimmings served at the stadium prior to the game. Sponsored by the Sports Boosters & the Lions clubs.
 

3rd Annual Beat the Heat Car Show & Cruise
October 18th. Show from 10am to 3pm at Do-It-Best Hardware on West Hwy 80.  Free admission and food.


Goody Trail
October. Trick or Treating around Downtown. Participating businesses will be handing out candy to trick or treaters from 5pm to 7pm.


Harvest Festival
November.. Grand Saline Band members & supporters host a Queen's Coronation with contestants chosen from all grades. Sponsored by Grand Saline Band Boosters.


Cocoa & Carols
1st Saturday in December  from 1pm to 6pm. Downtown Grand Saline celebrates Christmas. Activities on Main Street for festive holiday fun. Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade at 4 pm, Christmas Bizarre Music, Santa, strolling carolers. carriage rides. prize drawings, hot cocoa and refreshments are highlighted by the lighting of the Community Christmas tree at 6pm. Lighting and window decorating contests round out the magic on Main street.
 

New Year's Eve Fireman's Banquet & Midnight Parade
Dec. 31. Unique midnight parade of cars led by fire trucks winds through the city. As many as 200 vehicles participate. Parade follows annual fireman's banquet & awards presentation on New Year's Eve.
